On March 16th, 2017, the Black Austin Democrats hosted a non-partisan Local Government Forum at Six Square: Austin’s Black Cultural District, located at 1152 San Bernard Street, Austin, Texas 78702. Austin City Council Member Ora Houston and Travis County Commissioner Jeff Travillion discussed current issues affecting East Austin and East Travis County.

Black Austin Democrats meets at 6:00 PM every third Thursday of the month (with the exception of the second Thursday in December) at the Precinct 1 Constable Building at 4717 Heflin Lane, on the corner of MLK and Springdale Road. You can learn more about the organization here.
